George Byfield

George W. Byfield was born on 30th October 1968 in Jamaica W.I., and graduated from New York City’s School of Visual Arts, with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Advertising and Graphic Designs.

With only a few years of experience in marketing, publishing, business development and tourism, Mr. Byfield faced his first business development challenge when he spearheaded the creation of a production department that increased workflow and clients at Trinity Wall Street in 1999.  A few years later he moved to Florida as VP of Communication and Reni Publishing where he increased the product offerings of the company while leading the acquisition and growth of an advertising agency in Winter Haven, Florida, in 2004.

In 2007 Mr. Byfield and wife Erica acquired Blair Advertising in Fort Pierce, Florida, where he helped to lead the company to become the first local marketing agency to win St. Lucie County Tourism marketing account. During his three years tenure as senior creative director for St. Lucie County Tourism, Mr. Byfield developed a new brand campaigns, new visitors’ magazine, website and private public partnership between Grand Bahama Island, PGA of St. Lucie, St. Lucie Mets and St. Lucie County.

Mr. Byfield has recently spread his business and tourism passion across the State of Florida in his new online magazine venture Art & Gator, dedicated to promoting and positioning Florida as a premier arts and outdoor destination to affluent travelers.

He currently holds numerous prominent positions in various tourism and cultural arts related associations like board membership with the  St. Lucie County Cultural Arts Alliance, and Visit Florida.

A devoted Christian he resides in Lakeland, Florida with wife Erica and sons Charles and Christian.
