Salvatore Pontillo
Sal has 33 years experience as an International Banker. His career started in Chicago at Harris Trust and Savings Bank and then LaSalle National Bank. In 1977 he started the International Banking Division at Sun Bank in Orlando and later moved on to Florida National Bank, Philip Crosby Associates and SouthTrust Bank. Sal retired in late 2004 when SouthTrust Bank was bought by Wachovia (First Union).
Sal is presently the Chairman of Florida Export Finance Corporation and was on the Board of Florida Aerospace Finance Corporation until they were consolidated into Florida Space Corporation. In the past, Sal was involved at a high level with the Florida International Agricultural Council, Florida Council for International Development Council, Tampa Bank Propeller Club, The Tampa Bay International Trade Council, Orlando International Trade Council and the Florida Department of Forestry.
Sal holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Dubuque, Iowa and a Masters in Education from Chicago Teachers College. Sal is married to Kimberly Pontillo and has four children, three girls and one boy.
